There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki energy passes easily through all materials, including plaster casts. The Practitioner places their hands gently on or over the head; there is no massage or manipulation. Reiki can also be given over a distance as a taster treatment. Reiki may be experienced as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth, coolness, other sensations, or nothing at all.

Distant Reiki sessions work because energy is not limited by distance. Distance is only a physical limitation, so sessions can be done without clients being physically present. We are all connected, as we are all energy matter and part of a larger whole. This treatment lasts for approximately 15 minutes.

Reiki may be experienced as a flow of energy, mild tingling, warmth, coolness, other sensations, or nothing at all.
